NumPairs · Android
Privacy Policy
NumPairs is designed to work without an account and without sending your gameplay data to the developer.
At a glance
- No account or sign-in
- Gameplay stays on your device
- No ads, analytics, or trackers
- Sharing happens only when you choose it
Scope and developer
This policy explains how the NumPairs Android app and this privacy-policy website handle information. NumPairs is published by cescfe. Questions about this policy can be sent to ferrucesc@gmail.com.
NumPairs is open-source software. Its source code is publicly available in the NumPairs repository on GitHub under the MIT License.
Data handled by the app
NumPairs has no user accounts, sign-in, advertising, analytics, billing, proprietary server, or developer-operated remote data collection. The app does not request internet access, transmit gameplay or preference data to cescfe, or sell personal information.
The app stores the following information locally on your device so it can work:
- Preferences: your selected theme, haptic-feedback choice, and preferred generated-game difficulty.
- Interface progress: onboarding progress and whether certain help or hint actions have been introduced.
- Game progress: the current generated game needed to resume play.
- Daily Challenge progress: the current Daily Challenge and local completion history used to show your calendar and completion state.
This information is used only to provide app features and personalize your local experience. It is not sent to cescfe.
Daily Challenge and sharing
NumPairs reads your device's current date and time-zone setting locally to select the Daily Challenge for that date. It does not collect precise or approximate location, and the date or time-zone setting is not transmitted to cescfe.
After completing a Daily Challenge, you may choose to share pre-written completion text. NumPairs then opens Android's system share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you select this action and choose a destination. The receiving app or service processes what you share under its own privacy terms; NumPairs does not learn which destination you choose.
Backup, retention, and deletion
NumPairs allows Android's backup and device-transfer features. If those features are enabled for your device or account, Android may back up or transfer app preferences, such as theme, haptics, action-discovery state, and generated difficulty selections. Onboarding state, saved generated-game sessions, and Daily Challenge state and history are explicitly excluded from cloud backup and device transfer.
Backup processing is performed by Android and your configured backup provider, not by cescfe. The developer cannot access those backups. Provider retention and deletion rules apply to backup copies. You can learn more in Android's backup documentation.
Local data remains on your device until it is replaced by normal app use, you clear NumPairs storage in Android settings, or you uninstall the app. You can manage or delete eligible backup data through your device or backup-provider settings.
Email and this website
Email inquiries
If you email ferrucesc@gmail.com, you voluntarily provide your email address, message, and any information or attachments you include. This information is used only to respond, investigate the request, keep necessary support records, and meet legal obligations. It is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, then deleted when it is no longer required. Email is handled using Google's Gmail service under the Google Privacy Policy.
Privacy-policy website
This is a static website hosted by GitHub Pages. The site code adds no forms, analytics, tracking pixels, advertising technology, or cookies. A small first-party script only controls the optional back-to-top button; the policy remains fully available without it and it sends no data.
GitHub logs and stores a visitor's IP address for security when a GitHub Pages site is visited and may process other technical and website-usage data to host, secure, maintain, and improve its services. That processing is controlled by GitHub and described in GitHub's Pages documentation and GitHub's General Privacy Statement.
cescfe does not receive visitor-level analytics from this site. Following an external link, including an email link, takes you to a service governed by that service's own terms and privacy practices.
Service providers and disclosure
cescfe does not sell, rent, or use personal information for advertising. The following providers are relevant only in the circumstances described below.
| Provider | When involved | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Android / configured provider | When backup, device transfer, or sharing is enabled or initiated by you | Provide the operating-system feature you chose |
| GitHub | When you visit this website | Host and secure the static site |
| Google Gmail | When you email the privacy contact | Deliver and store the correspondence so cescfe can respond |
Information controlled by cescfe may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, rights, or the security of the app and website.
Your choices and rights
You control app data directly on your device. You can:
- choose whether to use Android backup or device-transfer features;
- choose whether and where to share Daily Challenge completion text;
- clear NumPairs storage or uninstall the app to remove local data; and
- manage backup copies through your device or backup-provider settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information controlled by cescfe. Because the app does not send data to cescfe, these requests will generally concern email correspondence. Contact ferrucesc@gmail.com to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
For information controlled independently by GitHub, Google, an Android backup provider, or a sharing destination, use that provider's privacy controls or contact channels.
Children
NumPairs does not knowingly collect personal information remotely from anyone, including children. Children should not send personal information by email without a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has emailed personal information, contact cescfe so it can be deleted where legally permitted.
Security
App information is stored in NumPairs' private Android app storage and protected by the safeguards provided by your device and operating system. Email and hosted website data rely on the security measures of their respective providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but cescfe limits the information it handles and uses it only for the purposes described in this policy.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if NumPairs features, data practices, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published at this same URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted here before or when they take effect where reasonably possible.
